Important Hotel Information
Treat Yourself!
You'll have a better conference experience by staying in the conference hotel.
That's obvious. But there are other reasons to consider before looking at another hotel.
Did you know? Please read on...
• Your conference planners take the role of finding a conference site very seriously. Location, attendees' needs, meeting spaces, and quality service are all taken into consideration.

• Conference hotels provide discounted rates for meeting room spaces, catering, and other services in exchange for a guaranteed number of attendees staying at the hotel and fillingthe room block. Conference planners depend upon the attendees to stay at the conference hotel to meet the contracted room numbers. If the room block is not filled, AOSA must still pay for these rooms. Unfilled rooms can cost AOSA thousands of dollars! This can affect not only the current conference but future negotiations as well.
• Room rates are negotiated and are discounted from their normal room rate.
The bottom line is that staying at the conference hotel gives you a better conference experience AND helps keep registration rates low.
